The working principle of the gel paste coating machine: it is the same as that of the gel paste coating machine used for screen printing plates, but performance varies by model and manufacturer. The screen coating machine is equipped with a fixed mesh device on a vertical frame. The front and back of the screen area have a horizontal coating mechanism, consisting of mechanical or pneumatic components that control the angle and pressure of the coating trough.
The coating mechanism is mounted on the vertical supports of the coating machine at both ends, moving up and down through the drive of belts, chains, or cables, coating along the surface of the silk screen. The drive mechanism is connected to a servo or variable frequency motor, working smoothly and allowing precise control of the position of the coating mechanism.
Manufacturers of gel paste coating machines analyze that a clean and tight mesh plate is installed in front of the coating machine before coating, and some models can also be installed on the side of the mesh plate. In models designed for large mesh frames, side plate making is more common. Because the mesh frame is large and heavy, side plate making can reduce lifting force and movement. Automatic screen coating machines are more convenient to install on the side plate when working online with other automatic screen processing equipment such as cleaning devices, regeneration devices, drying devices, and developers.
Regardless of how the mesh plate is installed, once the mesh plate is in the correct position, the coating machine manufacturers state that the pneumatic clamping device or mechanical clamping device will close, locking the mesh plate. To facilitate operation, many models have pedal controls for clamping actions, allowing operators to free their hands to control the mesh plate. After installing the mesh plate and injecting the corresponding photosensitive emulsion on the automatic coating machine, the coating can begin. Depending on the control system and the functions of the equipment, the device can paint both sides of the silk screen simultaneously.
