When my mind lingered on the moment of September 18, I suddenly realized it was the September 18 Incident. The year 2020 marks the 89th anniversary of the September 18 Incident. The peace we live in today is a result of the blood of our ancestors. On this special day, let us not forget the national humiliation and remember September 18.
The September 18 Incident, also known as the Mukden Incident or the Liutiaohu Incident, was a sudden attack by the Japanese Kwantung Army stationed in Northeast China on September 18, 1931, which forcibly occupied Northeast China. The September 18 Incident marked the beginning of Japanese imperialism's attempt to conquer China by force.
On the night of September 18, 1931, the Japanese Kwantung Army, entrenched in Northeast China, executed a meticulously planned conspiracy by blowing up the South Manchuria Railway tracks near Liutiaohu in Shenyang, which had been built by Japan, and framed the Chinese army for it. The Japanese army used this as an excuse to bombard the Chinese Northeast Army's Beida Camp, creating the shocking "September 18 Incident". The next day, the Japanese army occupied Shenyang and subsequently occupied the three provinces of Northeast China. By February 1932, the entire Northeast had fallen. Thereafter, Japan established a puppet regime in Northeast China, the puppet state of Manchukuo, and began a 14-year-long enslavement and colonial rule over the people of Northeast China, causing more than 30 million compatriots to suffer the pain of being a nation of slaves.
The September 18 Incident was a war of aggression against China deliberately initiated and launched by Japan, marking the beginning of Japanese imperialism's invasion of China. The September 18 Incident also signifies the starting point of the global anti-fascist war, opening the curtain on the Eastern Front of World War II.
We, the loyal and dedicated individuals serving the transdermal industry, must remember this history, not forget the past humiliation, and cannot forget the past suffering. As newcomers in the medical field, we always remember the party's teachings that only technological progress can make our country more prosperous.
