1. Blade Pressure: Currently, the blade used for scraping glue on the mesh roller is mainly made of stainless steel. During coating, if the pressure of the blade on the mesh roller is too low, impurities may cause the blade to lift, creating gaps that lead to uneven coating and increased coating amount. Influencing factors include: the hardness of the blade, the angle between the blade and the mesh roller, etc. In practice, it is advisable to adjust the blade with a pressure hammer, with the blade pressure generally between 200-400 kPa.

2. Blade Angle: The angle between the tangent at the contact point of the blade and the mesh roller is generally 15°-30°. If the angle is too large, the blade will almost press against the mesh roller, and if the surface of the mesh roller is not smooth, it may cause the elastic blade to vibrate or bounce during high-speed operation, causing the solution to be ejected, resulting in uneven coating and poor coating amount. An excessively large angle can also easily damage the blade.

3. Sharpness of the Blade: The sharpness of the blade mainly depends on the wear angle of the blade, the purity of the solution, and the material of the blade. If a new blade is used, a suitably sharp blade should be able to effectively scrape off the adhesive layer on the mesh roller without producing blade fibers. A moderately sharp blade can effectively scrape off the glue layer, thus achieving a uniform coating amount; conversely, it can cause fluctuations in the coating amount.

4. Flatness of the Blade: The blade must be flat without warping or deformation to ensure a uniform coating amount; otherwise, the error will increase. The flatness of the blade depends on the installation method of the blade, and it may also be due to impurities adhering to the inner wall of the blade slot. Therefore, when installing the blade, the inner wall should be cleaned first, and then the new blade should be placed against the inner wall before being installed. The screws after rotating the blade should be tightened from the middle of the blade first, then gradually tightened towards both sides, alternating between the two sides. To prevent the blade from bending, the screws should be tightened two or three times first, while holding the blade and the pad with a cloth, and then pulling tightly to one side. This way, the assembled blade will be relatively flat, ensuring uniform coating.

5. Lateral Movement of the Blade: The lateral movement of the blade plays a significant role in improving the utilization of the blade and reducing its wear on the mesh roller. Considering this aspect, a small amount of wear on the mesh wall, relatively deep mesh holes, and a larger volume of fluid contained are beneficial for achieving the required coating quality. The lateral movement of the blade can effectively prevent the formation of flow patterns and make the coating on the substrate more uniform.
